Tea Ceramics Display - 1967

4th Floor of Home Economics:  February 03, 1967 – February 10, 1967

Raku, a type of ceramic associated with Zen Buddhism, is on display on the fourth floor of the Home Economics building, from February 3 until February 10. This ceramic technique is developed by Paul Sodner and loaned to Ron duBois, a professor of Art by the American Craftsmen Council. "Raku" is a Japanese term referring to the procedure of sculpting ceramic which includes the concept of potter's alignment with the natural and rhythmic forces.
